Born in Guatemala, Artist Elmar Rojas belongs with the Central American painters generation of the sixties. Not only a graduate architect, he has delved in philosophy and literature as well as political and social sciences.
He studied Fine Arts in Guatemala’s National Fine Arts School, complementing his learning in Perugia, Italy, París and Madrid. Rojas has been an University Professor at the Architecture Faculty of USAC in his country as well as founder and first Minister of the Culture Ministry of Guatemala.
